Best coffee Advent calendars 2025

Rise Friendly Coffee Countdown Advent calendar

RISE new image

The Rise coffee calendar is a popular choice every year and makes a great return for 2025. It's also one of the few that hasn't gone up in price this year, which we appreciated. The simple design is bold and colourful and all plastic-free.

An impressive pick for variety, this ground coffee calendar features 24 different coffees from around the world, meaning no repeats all month. There's enough coffee each day for two smaller cups and it is medium-ground so works for cafetière, Aeropress, filter and moka pot methods. There's not much information in the calendar itself: instead scan the QR code each day to learn more about that's day's cup, with beans from Ethiopia, Brazil and much more. The speciality coffee is all ethically sourced and 1 per cent of all sales go back to coffee-growing communities.

Rise (£40)
Not on the High Street (£44)

Pact Coffee Advent calendar

Pact Advent Calendar

There are no traditional doors to open here, this is a box packed with top-quality coffee to explore all month long instead. As soon as we opened the delivery, the delicious smell of fresh coffee wafted from the box. We lifted open the lid of the smart box (in tiled red for the ground coffee edition, equally festive green for the whole bean option) to find 25 numbered sachets, each containing 18g of coffee.

The ground coffee is suitable for cafetière, Aeropress, V60 and drip-brewing methods, and the whole bean option is perfect for people who want to grind it fresh every day. We were impressed by the range of coffees in here – with no repeats, you can expect seven exclusive and rare limited-editions, and 10 'micro lot' coffees grown in small volumes. If you've had the calendar in previous years like we have, then you'll be pleased to know there's 10 new coffees in here for 2025.

We're already fans of the Grind coffee machine and have tested out its pods, so we were thrilled to see its Advent calendar return for 2025. The outside of the slim calendar is signature Grind pink, while opening it up reveals a fun 'Where's Wally'-esque design. A fun one to have on the mantelpiece all month long.

Behind the doors are 25 compostable Nespresso-compatible pods across an impressive 16 different flavours, an increase on last year's 13 options. As well as Grind's core blends, expect flavoured coffees such as caramel, hazelnut, Baileys and pumpkin spice. Spoiler alert: on Christmas Day, you'll find two pods behind the door (in the appropriate Christmas blend) so you can share your morning brew.

If you love Grind but don't have a pod machine, we've also spotted that this year they're doing a wholebean or ground coffee advent calendar in a fun bookcase design.

Grind (£29.95)

Rave Coffee Advent calendar

Rave coffee advent calendar-6350

This is a slightly different coffee Advent calendar from the rest of our picks, but it's one of our favourite calendars we've tried this year so we couldn't resist adding it in.

You might not get beans or ground coffee in here, but instead behind each door is an irresistible coffee-infused chocolate. There are six different flavours to discover throughout the month – from a biscuit and coffee milk chocolate truffle, to solid blonde coffee chocolate (a highlight) and decadent coffee caramel coated in coffee dark chocolate and cocoa powder. It's pricey but great quality (with ethically sourced coffee and cocoa), and an absolute must-try for a coffee lover with a sweet tooth. It's limited-edition and made in small batches, so worth buying quickly if you fancy trying it.

Rave (£35.95)

L'Or Coffee Capsule Advent calendar

L'or coffee calendar

Another coffee pod calendar option with 24 different blends, including two decaffeinated pods. There are only three flavoured pods – including caramel and vanilla – with the rest of the calendar focusing on different intensity blends instead, which is ideal if you’re not a fan of novelty flavours.

The design is minimalist black and dark red, but the doors being in the shape of coffee pods is a nice extra touch. At under £15, it's also great value and by far the most affordable coffee Advent calendar we've tried.

L'Or (£12.99)
Amazon (£12.99)

Little’s 24 Days of Flavoured Coffee Advent calendar

Little's coffee Advent calendar

This fun and colourful calendar is another option for those with a coffee pod machine. We think this suits those who don't take their coffee too seriously and like trying quirky flavours. Each day reveals a new Nespresso-compatible capsule with nine different flavours inside, from caramel or vanilla to three calendar-exclusives for the festive season, including the ever popular pumpkin spice. It's got a good mix of classic and unusual flavours to brighten up December mornings.

Available from:
Selfridge's (£40.99)
