Hot buttered rum
Treat yourself to a hot buttered rum over the festive season, made with golden rum, soft light brown sugar, unsalted butter and festive spices
Using sloe gin adds a fruity depth but also extra sweetness. Use a dry vermouth rather than the sweet red in the classic recipe
Mix equal measures of sloe gin, Campari and vermouth and heat gently in a pan. Alternatively, make it directly in the glass, cover with a saucer, and give it 30 seconds or so in a microwave.
