This simple pasta dish is a great way to eat purple sprouting broccoli and is full of fresh zingy flavours of chilli and lemon to pick you up midweek.

- 200g linguine
- olive oil
- 150g purple sprouting broccolitrimmed and halved lengthways
- 2 red bird’s eye chillicut in half
- 2 cloves garlicthinly sliced
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- a large handful parsleychopped
- 1 lemonjuiced

Method
step 1
Cook the linguine following the packet instructions. Meanwhile, heat a little oil in a frying pan and add the purple sprouting broccoli, cook for 4 minutes then add the chilli and garlic. Fry everything together, stirring so that nothing sticks and burns, until the broccoli is cooked through. Stir in the sesame seeds and brown them briefly. Add the parsley and lemon juice and toss through the linguine with plenty of seasoning.
